sketchbook 1/27

I learn a lot about myself from my old sketchbooks, but these little gems were produced during one of my classes today. Some teachers blab on and on. Sometimes brains need more; mine creates when it needs more.

Caleb

Some times you can so obviously predict future events and presuppose outcomes... We usually think that being the wise human beings that we are, there could be no fate and no flaw in thine own thought. We always prove ourselves wrong and nature tumbles upon our puny little brains with its chaotic likeness.
A boy turns to man. Slowly. Surely. I cant remember the last time i had a chat with myself at the age of 15. The reason for that probably being i never had the chance. I wish that it was humanly possible in our day and age to do such a thing as "having a good laugh" at how dumb we are in our exact moment of stupidity... but maybe the possibilities are here.
When i look at him i see myself with something more. I see his life and me being able to help him correct his mistakes before they are ever made. I see an indivual with a future. I see a brighter future than the one i had planned at 15.
Dare i say it but God... Please don't let him be like me. I have brought fury to my name and hell hath no wrath that was bestowed upon me from times past but i have learned. Every man deserves grace But that doesn't mean every man should need it.

mountains of grief vs abundant joy

Sometimes during an altercation with a slimy withering dream you receive a gift that you can't understand. You ruin the passion and thought that was put into that gift before you can begin to enjoy it's possibilities. Nothing matters more than your selfish, impure, unwise, and semi-sadistic decisions. ....... There will come a day where all of that will change and you will receive your gift, sent from some benevolent force, and you will enjoy the gift and it will enjoy you whilst nothing else can wet your thoughts like the heaviest diaper in the brightest hour of summer. Nothing can harm you. You will be happy. You will live your life and die with a smile.
